Digital Domain

From 2018 to 2023, I held multiple contract roles at Digital Domain 3.0, a leading visual effects studio known for its cutting-edge contributions to film, television, and interactive media.

I served as a Production Coordinator across both the Visualization and Commercials departments, where I played a key role in managing cross-functional communication pipelines between internal production teams and high-profile external clients.

My core responsibilities included streamlining production workflows, coordinating deliverables, and supporting creative teams throughout the entire production lifecycle. I worked closely with VFX artists, producers, and department heads to ensure the seamless execution of complex, deadline-driven projects for global brands and major entertainment properties.

Notably, I contributed to quality control (QC) and digital asset management for cinematic reference materials used in AAA video game titles, including Ghost of Tsushima and Resident Evil Village. This involved meticulous review, video encoding, and adherence to strict technical specifications and visual standards.

Throughout my tenure, I demonstrated proficiency in project management tools (e.g., ShotGrid), maintained a deep understanding of VFX production pipelines, and continuously prioritized collaboration, efficiency, and creative excellence.

As a final note offering insight into the type of digital assets and media files I was responsible for managing, transferring, and reviewing within the Virtual Production pipeline, it’s worth highlighting a publicly available example.

My former colleague, Ellery Ortiz, has showcased a selection of his previsualization (previs) work for the 2020 Sonic the Hedgehog feature film—produced during our time at Digital Domain available to watch on his Vimeo portfolio. This reel provides a clear representation of the technically complex previs material referenced in every subsequent step of the film’s VFX production. Have a watch at the link below!
